New Step(s) in Life

Well it looks like it has been a year or so since I have posted so I have a lot to catch up on. I am not sure who all reads this anymore but it is nice to keep up on my friends who live far away. Anyway, Kyle and I bought a house last July over here in Vancouver, Washington. Luckily, it is only about 35 minutes from Gresham where my family is. It is a lot quieter over here which is really nice. We have been here a little over a year and we love it. I was going to school at MHCC at the time and I was having to drive from downtown Portland (where I was working), out to Gresham for class 2 to 4 times per week and then coming home around 10:00pm and going to bed. Not the best situation, but it prevented me from paying out of state tuition since I was not quite a Washington resident yet.
Speaking of work, I was working at the Oregon Burn Center outpatient clinic for 2 1/2 years as a receptionist/clinic assistant before the shut the clinic down to 4 days a week and then got even slower so I was having to leave early and or not go in at all which was not working out so well. I actually started working back at Costco as a pharmacy technician 2 days a week to make up for it. I then got offered a job full time and decided to take it. Sorry for the long story, but the best part is about to come. An old co-worker of mine from Costco a few years back got a hold of me and said that he knew of some pharmacy technician jobs at Kaiser he thought I would be interested in which of course I was. I emailed the manager with my resume and within 2 weeks, I had an interview and got offered the job. I start on October 1st, and could not be happier. I will be taking a semester or so off of school to work out the new position and then go back. They are going to pay for my school which is awesome.
Kyle has been working as a manager at US Bank for almost 2 years now and loves it. He has been promoted twice since he started there and I could not be more proud of him for what he has accomplished.
In other news, we got our first puppy at the beginning of July and we love her so much. I never thought I would be able to love a pet so much but she is wonderful and so smart. Her name is Ruby :)
We had our fourth anniversary on August 19th, and Becca (my little sister) got married on August 20th so it was a busy month. We had a great time and she is so happy. We could not be happier for her. We were able to get away to Seattle for a few days to celebrate our anniversary and had a great time. We did miss our baby girl though.

Ruby was sad that we were leaving for the weekend to the Pendleton Round-Up without her :(

I know this is a lot of information but we have had a lot going on since I last posted. I hope everyone is doing well.

New Blog

I am not sure how many people follow this blog but I wanted to start a new one since I can't get into my old one for some reason. We have been in our new house for two weeks today and we are loving it. I will post some pictures this weekend where I have access to do so. I will also post some pictures and descriptions to what we have been up to lately especially since pictures make the blog more interesting in my opinion.
